Project eVOC Serbia and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Belgrade have supported the competition of high school students “Tech case study 2021”, held this year under the slogan “Test Your Engineering Skills”. For the third year in a row, the competition is organised by the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy of the University of Belgrade at the initiative of the Students’ Parliament of the Faculty and with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia.
The goal of the “Tech Case Study” is to create the opportunity for high school students from all over Serbia to get acquainted with the work of technological engineers and try out their problem-solving skills in the area of environmental protection and sustainable development, thus testing their engineering knowledge.
The interest of high school students and their professors was very high in the semi-final competition, held online this year due to specific epidemiological situation. The teams awarded with the highest score by the expert jury, who offered the most creative solutions for the case study they were sent to resolve, qualified for the final competition. Ten highest-ranked teams will compete in presence of the expert commission at the final competition on Wednesday, 12th May, at 11:00 on the premises of the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy in Belgrade.
Due to the great interest of the audience last year and the specifics related to the Covid-19 pandemic, the finals will be streamed via social networks, so that the widest audience and general public will be able to follow the competition and vote their favourites online. The three best teams that will provide the most inventive solutions in the finals, applying knowledge in the field of sustainable development, will receive valuable awards prepared by the Faculty and the Project eVOC Serbia. We invite you to follow the competition and vote through the official YouTube channel of the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy of the University of Belgrade.
